Abstract

The video demonstrates the steps of simple limbal epithelial transplantation as follows. Donor / fellow eye preparation by harvesting 2-3 mm of limbal tissue from superior area. Recipient eye preparation – Pannus removal followed by conjunctival resection. Smoothening of corneal surface. Placement of Amniotic membrane followed by placement of harvested limbal tissue by further dividing it into 5-6 pieces and placing it over the amniotic membrane in circular fashion. Both amniotic membrane and limbal tissue are secured with fibrin glue and finally a banadage contact lens is placed.
