Abstract
Secondary Acquired Lacrimal Duct Obstruction (SALDO) is one of the emerging sequels of Post COVID Rhino-Orbital mucormycosis, which can account for further morbidity in patients who got treated and survived COVID. This case series highlights three patients with history of Rhino-Orbital mucormycosis during COVID pandemic (2020-2022) and were surgically managed for invasive fungal sinusitis with Functional Endoscopic Sinus Surgery (FESS). All patients presented a few weeks to months later with symptoms of Chronic dacryocystitis. They were subjected to complete ophthalmic evaluation including Lacrimal syringing and CT Dacryocystography (CT DCG). All of them showed block in the distal portion of Nasolacrimal duct (NLD) and were subsequently managed with External Dacryocystorhinostomy (DCR). Post External DCR all patients were asymptomatic and patency of bony ostium was confirmed with Lacrimal syringing.
