Abstract
Study design- Case report.
Purpose- To report a case of isolated unilateral double upper lid coloboma.
Method-A 16-year-old female presented with right upper eyelid defect since birth. Patient had no family
history of any ocular disorder. On examination of right eye upper lid, a double coloboma of 4mm
was noted. Anterior and posterior segment examination was normal bilaterally.
Systemic investigations were normal.
Result- Right upper eyelid repair with tissue reconstruction flap
was done under general anesthesia. Following reconstruction patient had acceptable appearance
both functionally and cosmetically.
Conclusion- Such isolated, unilateral double coloboma of the same
eyelid as in our case has been rarely reported in literature.
