Abstract

A 4 year old male came with his mother with c/o headache for the past 1 month and LE deviation for past 2 weeks, k/c/o Nephrotic syndrome with 3 relapsing episodes with complete remission on treatment with steroids over the past 3 years. On slit lamp examination, LE esotropia of 15 degree , posterior subcapsular cataract and blurring of disc margins in BE was noted . A differential diagnosis of BE papilloedema was made. MRI revealed cerebral venous thrombosis. He was treated with anticoagulants. On 2 weeks followup , there was resolving edema of both the disc .Diagnosis of CVT secondary to nephrotic syndrome with a clinical picture of papilloedema due to increased ICT.
