Abstract

PURPOSE:Reporting a case of a solitary NF lesion in the Eye.MATERIALS AND METHODS:1yr ago,20yr/M presented with c/o mass growing over the LE upper lid since 1year,gradually progressive,painless over the medial part of the lid extending from anterior-posterior lid margin.Growth excised.Previous reports lost.Now,he presents with c/o gradually progressive swelling over the LE upper lid laterally 5x2cm,non-tender,soft consistency,transillumination +ATN14,14;BE gonioscopy-wide open angles.General examination revealed no features in favour of NF.An excision biopsy with lid reconstruction under LA done.HPE:skin overlying the swelling-features suggestive of fibro-epithelial polyp;swelling-proliferation of thin elongated cells with pointed ends in a myxoid stroma suggestive of NF.RESULT:A rare presentation of a solitary lesion of Neurofibroma noted with no systemic or other ocular features in a 20yr old.
