Abstract
Study design – A case report on Moebius syndrome.
Purpose- The purpose of this case report is to study the clinical manifestations of Moebius syndrome.
Methods
A 22 year male came to Ophthalmology OPD with complaints of defective vision, diplopia, facial muscle weakness, bulbar weakness and hoarseness of voice since 1 week.
Patient had history of sore throat and cough 1 week back.
Patient also had history of fluctuating blood pressure with neck pain and headache.
His best corrected visual acuity in Right eye is 6/6 and Left eye is 6/9.
Results
On slit lamp examination, both eyes, pupil is round, reacting to light.
Both eye fundus findings are normal.
CT brain showed mildly prominent ventricular system.
Conclusion
Early rehabilitation may enhance the recovery of normal function, particularly in vulnerable areas of development. It is possible that early intervention that integrates sensory and visual information with emotional difficulties can improve the prognosis.
